  3. We are learning to: • Describe priorities of Tapasā and implications of these for our teaching • Identify the values central to the compass of Tapasā and classroom strategies that can demonstrate and nurture these • Describe the depth of meaning these values hold for many Pasifika people

  4. Session outline: Description of our study Exploring Tapasā, including focussing on the values central to the compass Brainstorming in groups: Sharing some study results and findings for discussion Developing an action plan – choose 1 value Sharing

  5. Exploring Tapasā, including focussing on the values central to the compass Brainstorming in groups: - how can the value/s be demonstrated in our classrooms? - how can the value/s be nurtured in our classrooms? - what might be expected in the study data?

  6. Developing an action plan – choose 1 value: • what might you enhance in your classroom in your and your students’ practice • are there any implications for your department/faculty/school? • what might you endeavour to use to keep informing your practice? Sharing
