What is WeComm? • All volunteer nonprofit, tax exempt organization • Financial organization with the following purposes • To support and facilitate emergency, disaster, and public service related communication systems and services provided to government agencies, the general public and private disaster relief organizations by Amateur Radio Operators through the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service. The primary purpose shall be the construction and maintenance of a statewide voice and digital wireless two-way communication network. • Such other activities as the directors may determine are necessary or desirable in furtherance of the forgoing paragraph.

Using a WeComm Repeater or the Network • Individual systems in the network and the network will be used with the following priority procedure: 1. State, District and Local ARES/RACES Communications 2. Skywarn Communications 3. Badge Weather Net (Entire Network Daily from 4:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.) 4. Public Service Communications 5. Normal Amateur Radio Contacts • If an ARES/RACES Leader – Use it • Ask a WeComm Leader or ARES/RACES Senior Leader if you need a link configured
