The cigarettes my grandpa smoked caused my grandma to die of lung cancer.(Jewish) Communication My mom has cancer and though it’s not terminal the chemo takes a lot out of her and sometimes she seems more dead than alive. Students ‘hungry’ to write • the blogs (Kajder, 2004). • Students reacted more to the blogs under times of stress • Students responded more to the blogs that their own teacher/friends posted. • Short titles were more successful. • Blogs that suggested some sense of urgency got quicker and more reactions.
6) Controversial topics= • ‘in depth’ responses. • 7) Speaking place for the quieter students. (participation classroom setting). • 8) Blog topics catering for a wide audience created larger responses. • 9) Directives created more responses than the traditional, ‘What do you think?’ question forms.
