WHO IS THE AIDS CONSORTIUM?? • Membership network organisation servicing people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS • Human rights are integral part of our strategy - we are committed to openness and non-discrimination of all types • Currently represent the NGO sector on SANAC (South African National AIDS Council)
OUR VISION To facilitate and grow an established network of AIDS Service Organizations to effectively address the needs of people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS thereby ensuring human dignity for all.

AC Innovation pilot programme • Linked to Capacity Building Programme (CBP) • Training in organisational development • 75 Community Based Organisations in Gauteng a year • Assessments, Training and Mentoring
Innovation Incentives • Open to organisations that were undergoing CBP and met other criteria • Approved AIDS Consortium affiliate • Attended 10 of the 10 modules and • Supported by a trainer/mentor • Be visited for assessment by AC at least 3 times • Avail relevant documents during assessment • Avail staff members and volunteers for interviews • Implement agreed action plans after each support visit
Assessment process An average of 3 assessment • Pre-assessment: baseline information before training, information gathered used to inform training • Second assessment: After training, pre mentorship process, mentoring process provided feedback and captured data on the organisation • Last assessment: During last month of mentoring

Assessment results • All scores captured, collated and an average score used to decide • Internal management made decision based on all the information gathered • Internal management decision verified by external management
