  2. Birth place • Born 17, August 1941, ollolai sardinia Italy • Franco lived in Italy for years and trained as a boxer before getting in to bodybuilding.

  3. Emigration Year • Arrived in America in 1969 from Italy.

  4. Reasons • Franco was encouraged to come to America by bodybuilding guru Joe weider.

  5. Occupation • Franco was sponsored by Joe wieder when he came to America for bodybuilding and Joe wieder gave him an 80 dollar a week margin to body buildhe won very many titles and he was much smaller than his competitors at 5’5 at 185lbs

  6. Franco also competed in strong man competitions and was known as the strongest man in the world Franco colombu’s records are still unachievable by 99% of the population with records such as. • Bench max-525 • Squat max-655 • Deadlift max-750 but in some training sessions he was reported to lift over 780lbs. • Can lift a car

  7. Franco culumbu was not an indentured servant.

Working conditions • At the time of his arrival to America Franco came to body build but later Franco and Arnold Schwarzenegger opened a brick laying patio business called European brick works. • They still spent most of there time bodybuilding. • Compared to his homeland conditions and work schedule were the same.

  10. Received by the community • Yes he was because he was a great inspiration to a lot of people not only in bodybuilding but powerlifting, movies, and doctor in chiropractic.
