Think of all the ways you use water every day…. Drinking…. Cooking…. Washing…. What if you had no clean water?. Thousands upon thousands of people have no clean water. Our goal is to raise money to specifically help those in the refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya that border Somalia.

Today one person dies every 15 seconds in Africa due to a lack of clean water. Our goal is to raise money to specifically help those in the refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya that border Somalia.
Somalia has had 17 governments in the past 20 years. Refugees are fleeing to Ethiopia and Kenya. Our goal is to raise money to specifically help those in the refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya that border Somalia.
Camps have been set up near the borders, but clean water is a major concern. Our goal is to raise money to specifically help those in the refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya that border Somalia.
In some places water is hard to find, in others it requires a long journey. In most places, it is full of dirt, bacteria, and impurities.
In some areas of Kenya, sand dams have been constructed to collect rainwater…
But the water collected is not clean, pure, or free of bacteria
In other areas there are wells, but no capacity to store or filter the water. Dysentery and other waterborne disease results in many illnesses and countless deaths.

Water for Africa uses the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation to handle all bookkeeping, tax reporting, and acknowledgments, at a cost of 1% of all donations.
By working with the Foundation our books are transparent and we are part of a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Contributions are therefore tax deductible.
The remaining 99% of donated funds go to Vestergaard Frandzen to purchase LifeStraws
The LifeStraws are delivered to Lutheran World Relief and Catholic Charities who distribute them in Africa.
