  5. Relationship to Divine • The Point of the Bahá’í Life is to love and to know God • Meditation • Prayer • Fasting • No clergy • No sacraments • No liturgy • And almost no rituals • Only 3 rituals • Daily Prayers • Prayer said at the funeral for the dead • The Marriage rite

  6. Politics • Not allowed to hold a government job, it usually brings up “conflict and contempt” • This doesn’t permit them from taking social positions • House of Justice • No nominations • No campaigning

  7. Bahá’í Practice • Daily Prayers • Holy Days • 9 holidays

  8. Holy Scriptures recommend that Bahá’ís come together every morning for prayer • This usually only happens on holy days • Especially the 19 day feast • “Every nineteen days, the evening before the first day of each Bahá'í month, all of the Bahá'ís of a particular community meet at one of their houses, or the local Bahá'í centre, for a Feast.” • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKzMvYLmbzk
