ThompsonMIC WFO Taunton, MA Forecaster Populates Astronomical Tide and Storm Surge to produce Storm Tide Web Graphics and AHPS • Motivation: • To improve forecasts of coastal inundation and provide visualization tools for stakeholders • Initial Results: • More efficient WFO operations • Provide tide forecasts that incorporate weather induced anomalies • Increased collaboration with NOAA partners CFW derived from GFE tide and wave grids • Future Work: • Verification of storm surge models • Means to communicate uncertainty • Incorporate wave run-up
