Libraries with historical collection need to manage efficiently access, conservation and preservation. • The situation has changed thanks to computers, digital format and Internet. • University Complutense Madrid Library is convinced of the possibilities and benefits digitizing and opening access to historical documents and content for itself and society.

  3. Agreement with Google - Benefits • Objetive: mass digitization of the library’s public domain collection to freely consult it on the Internet • 2 copies: 1 for the University, 1 for Google • Use part of the digitized documents in other cooperation projects
