Dr. Ross Porter, the founder of Stillpoint Family Resources, is dedicated to providing hope and healing through the organization’s services, including counseling, training, seminars, literature, and more. Rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition, he knows how important it is that everyone be able to receive the support they need regardless of background or socioeconomic status, especially given the current state of funding available for underserved communities. Low-cost therapy is offered to individuals in need, and those with significant trauma can rest assured that they will receive treatment until they feel strong and healthy.

  3. With nine talented and passionate counselors available, Stillpoint offers support to individuals, couples, and families in crisis. They help manage topics such as addiction, mood disorders, medical crises, special needs children and their families, spiritual issues, and more. These counselors complete the “Formation for Excellence” training program and continue receiving ongoing support to ensure the highest quality services. In addition, there are numerous resources available specifically designed to inspire and cultivate happiness, such as VirtueYou, a program dedicated to helping people develop their character and moral formation in a deeper yet accessible way.

Dr. Ross Porter’s newest project connected with Stillpoint Family Resources is Villa Providencia, a residence where people with special needs will live in the same community as typically developing adults. Focused on integrating and mainstreaming, residents will take part in normal, everyday activities to encourage empowerment and high self-esteem.
