Relative Location • Where a place is in relation to another place • Identifies hemispheres • Address • Uses directional words to describe • Cardinal and intermediate directions
Examples of Relative Location • Kansas is bordered by Nebraska on the north, Oklahoma on the south, Missouri on the east, and Colorado on the west. • My address is 12 Tea Dr., Holly Springs, NC 27540 • The Atlantic Ocean forms Maine's east coast. • New York is one of the Northeastern States • Africa is in all four hemispheres.
