3. Development of data standards • Focus (initially) on winds and SST • Provide QC tests and two sets of QC flags for each variable in • SEACOOS netCDF format to be ingested by the SEACOOS • scout. • Each partner to test: • Instrument ranges • Rule of thumb (gross ranges and climatological ranges) • Is data there? • Time continuity (long enough, so do not throw out wind • changes) • NOTE: QARTOD does not have specific tests defined for winds but • we can use whatever recommendations that they have thus • far for CTDs to assist us with these checks for SST as we • move forward. (Vembu, end of Nov) • Find out from QARTOD, what warrants a yellow or suspect flag.(Sara, end of Nov) • Review SEACOOS netCDF strawman. (All, Dec 1) • Propose any changes by submitting CDL examples.(All, Dec 1) • Adopt CDL (if only 1) or let's vote (if >1 CDL example)(All, Dec 15) • Implement in partner latest data.
