Administrating Business Exams Calcasieu is a testing site through Certiport Exams are accessed from Certiport online Students register as a test taker on Certiport’s website before arriving for testing Students receive immediate results after test and are allowed to print results Results given to counselor to add to student records for verification

SOWELA ENROLLMENT PROCESS • Visit each of the High Schools in Calcasieu Parish • Speak to each of the high school classes that are eligible for dual enrollment • Provide each student eligible for dual enrollment an application for the program • Obtain from each student, in each class addressed, a prospect card for follow-up (ask for home numbers, student AND parent/guardian email addresses) • Speak with the teachers at each of the schools to determine what is necessary to complete credentialing applications • Speak with the counselors at each of the schools to explain the application process and the deadline for submission of applications
Questions/Answers Course credit will transfer to any school in the LCTCS There are no SOWELA tests that the students will be required to take. They receive high school credit and SOWELA credit by completing the competencies aligned between the courses SOWELA will provide instructors with grade sheets to be completed for all dually-enrolled students.

Three Tiered Model Tier 1 – Students 16 years of age or older at or above the 7thgrade reading level. Tier 2 – Students 16 years of age or older reading from the 4th-6th grade levels. Tier 3 – Students 16 years of age or older reading below the 4th grade level.
