  3. 2011-12 MAP Program News • Monetary Award Program (MAP) • Payment processing is available in MAPnet from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (CT) • Records submitted by 7 p.m. will be processed that night and results will be available on the next business day • December 9, 2011 is the first-term priority payment claim deadline date • Second and third term dates will be set at the November commission meeting

  4. 2011-12 MAP Program News • Monetary Award Program (MAP) • Possible 2nd and 3rd Term Reductions • Important Message from ISAC to Illinois Students Regarding 2011-12 MAP Awards • Communication available at collegeillinois.org • ISAC has started sending e-mails to all eligible MAP applicants for whom we have a valid e-mail address • Contains information about the status of this year’s MAP funding and possibility of reduced 2nd and 3rd awards • Provides a link to additional communication that illustrates the impact the funding shortfall may have

  5. 2010-11 TESP Program News • Teacher Education Scholarship Programs (TESP) • Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois • Awarding took place on August 25 for qualified timely new and renewal applicants • Illinois Future Teacher Corps (IFTC) • Awarding took place on September 1 for qualified timely renewal applicants • Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship (MTI) • Awarding took place on September 1 for all MTI applicants • Award notifications were mailed to eligible students and results are available in My Zone • Due to limited funding, additional awarding is unlikely

  6. 2011-12 TESP Program News • Teacher Education Scholarship Programs (TESP) • Payment request process will soon be available at My Zone • Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (CT) • Users access must be set to security level 3 or by the schools My Zone administrator in order to request, edit or update payment claims

  7. 2011-12 SETTW Program News • Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver (SETTW) • Awards were announced to students in April • Verification Rosters and Certification forms were mailed to colleges on June 24 • Completed forms are due back to ISAC on or before September 30

  8. 2011-12 IVG Program News • Illinois Veteran Grant • Summer claims were due by September 15 • Processing for the fall term began September 16 and claims are due by January 15 • Spring processing begins January 16 and claims will be due by May 25, 2012 • IVG online payment process via My Zone is available daily from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. (CT)

  9. 2011-12 ING Program News • Illinois National Guard Grant • Application deadline dates are: • October 1 – full year consideration • March 1 – spring and summer terms • June 15 – summer only • New announcement rosters are posted to My Zone as eligibility verification is received from the Illinois Dept. of Military Affairs • Payment rosters will be posted to My Zone in October

  10. 2011-12 PFC Program News • Grant Programs for Dependents of Police, Fire and Correctional Officers • Application deadline dates: • October 1 – full year consideration • March 1 – spring and summer terms • June 15 – summer only • Maximum award amount is $19,100 • Fall term payment rosters will be mailed to schools in October

  11. 2011-12 Byrd Program News • Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program • Eligibility letters, certification forms and student responsibility documents were sent to qualified renewal Byrd Scholars on July 21 • Due to limited funding, the maximum annual award amount for the 2011-12 academic year is $1,020. • Payment rosters were made available in My Zone on August 23

  12. 2011-12 Program News • Bonus Incentive Grant (BIG) • Application is no longer available • Applicants who met eligibility requirements but were not approved for payment received notification from ISAC • Began notifying during the week of September 12

  13. Other Program News • 2010-11 Enrollment Verification Rosters will be made available in My Zone in early October for the following programs: • Illinois Future Teacher Corps • Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship Program • Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver

Program Payment Status • Use State Comptroller's Web site to track the processing of payments for ISAC programs • Vendor Inquiries screen provides the payment status descriptions and has an online instruction guide • Access the State Comptroller’s home page at: ww.ioc.state.il.us • Click on Vendor Payments in the Financial Inquiries section • Enter the appropriate vendor taxpayer identification number (Federal Employer Identification Number or Social Security Number) • A summary of contracts and payments will display • Click on the Payments icon to view detailed payment information

Other ISAC News • MAP Upgrade • A project is currently underway to upgrade MAPnet technology • ISAC system maintenance scheduled for Monday, October 10 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Will affect MAPNet, MyZone and CollegeZone • Maintenance message will appear if trying to access during this time • The 529 Prepaid site maintenance page will provide a link for account access.

Other ISAC News • College Illinois Transcript Exchange (CITE) • Initiative was launched in August • Collaborating with Illinois State Board of Education • Docufide by Parchment • Allows high schools to send electronic transcripts electronically to participating MAP-approved colleges at no cost to students or the schools • Docufide Sender • Will also allow high schools to submit 6th semester data to ISAC for State Scholars Program • Participating colleges must be set up as a Docufide Receiver • Contact School Services for more information
