  2. 28% of U.S. employees are unhappy with their boss • 84% of workers are not in their ‘dream job.’ • 80% of employees do not think their job is fun • Only 50% of employees are satisfied with their job • 21% of workers feel their boss is untrustworthy • Every year, 2.5 million people will quit their job • #1 reason people quit: poor relationship with their boss • 24% of workers feel they can do a better job than their boss • 32% of workers call in sick when they were not

  4. Your Workplace is Sacred Space

  5. 15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. -Colossians 1:15-17

  6. “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab, the ability to teach others. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers. –Exodus 35:30-35

God’s World Split into 2 Parts (Unbiblical) Spiritual Things related to spiritual, eternal God in heaven (pastor, missionary, direct church-related work, etc) ------------------------------------------ Secular Home, work, business, marketplace, trades, money, government, sex, etc Worthy, everlasting Work. Mundane, temporal Unworthy work

  8. Missionary Pastor Youth/Parachurch ----- EVERYONE ELSE Helping Professions Homemakers Medical Field Trades Business Politics etc. SUPPOSED LEVEL OF SACREDNESS

Almighty God, my heavenly Father, I have sinned against you through my own fault: In thought In word In deed In what I have done In what I have left undone For the sake of your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me all my offenses; and grant that I may serve you in newness of life, to the glory of your Name. Amen
