What is a CW Skimmer ? CW Skimmer is a software package, available from Alex Shovkoplyas, VE3NEA, at www.DXAtlas.com. Combined with your current transceiver, or with Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware that is already available, CW Skimmer will enable operators to be aware of every CW signal that is going on across large segmantsof any band.
RDXA Skimmer Project What is needed for this project is the following: • 1) A SoftRock receiver capable of tuning all of the HF CW bands. • 2) A case to hold the receiver. • 3) A registered copy of CW Skimmer from DX Atlas • 4) A computer with internet access (AWA has internet access) • 5) A decent sound card 96K and 24 bit • 6) A decent multi-band antenna • 7) A decent 13.8 volt power supply or power supply battery combo. • 8) Remote control software to control the computer, receiver, etc from a remote location.
