What do we learn from this story? • The man saw Lazarus every single day and never gave him food or money. We should care about others before its too late. • Its important to listen to and act upon the word of God. • You could be rich on Earth but poor in heaven!
2 Corinthians 9:7 • So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
The rich man could have given Lazarus many things..... • What could have Lazarus offered to the rich man? • What can we offer to others if we are not rich.
What can I give? • Money • Time • Food • A helping hand • A service
Important points What we have is from God, not from us. God gives us most of what we have and we are simply keeping some and giving some back. Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Matthew 6:1

Luke 21:1-4 • Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. Matthew 25:45
