B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Grade Based Teams: • 1&2 Grade or U9’s • 3&4 Grade • 5&6 Grade • 7&8 Grade • Any child that wishes to play above his grade, MUST attend at least 2 tryouts for that grade level. • The BOLT coaching staff will evaluate and accept/reject each player attempting to play up. These decisions are FINAL and there will be no appeals. • Any child playing up may ONLY play for the top level (A) team • Little Scoopers Program kick-off for Kindergarten - Boys, Pre-K and Kindergarten and Girls, Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.

B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • SEPYLA (South Eastern PA Youth Lacrosse Association) • Mid Feb – Declare # of teams • Early Mar – Rosters are due • Mar 1 – 1st practice • Mar 26 through Jun2 - League games • Jun 9 & 10 – BOLT Tournament • Local teams in SEPYLA • Limerick/Springford • Amity • Pottsgrove • Perk Valley

B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Home fields • Douglass Park (practice) • Windelstrae (practice & games) • BASH/Colebrookdale (practice & games) • Practices (Set by the coaches) • Little Scoopers & Grade 1/2: 1x per week • All others 2-3 x per week • Games (schedule established by SEPYLA) • 1 game per week on Sat or Sun (home or away) • On occasion may have a game during the week • LS and 1/2 may be less and usually participate in play days

B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • New Equipment Supplier for 2012 is ASC – Lacrosse Corner • http://www.lacrossecorner.com • Required Equipment: • Helmet, mouthpiece (colored), shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, sneakers or cleats (no metal), • Recommended Equipment: • Athletic supporter and cup, rib pads • Recommended Uniform: • Uniform will be ordered on-line by each family • White helmet (Cascade) with red visor and red chin guard • White or black gloves • White or black socks & cleats • Spirit wear will also be available on-line

B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Equipment Rental Program • Available to all 1st year players • Included as package or individually: helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick • Not included: mouth piece, gloves, cleats • Free Equipment Program • Available to all Grade 1/2 (U9) • Included as package or individually: helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, stick • Not included: mouth piece, gloves, cleats • ***Equipment form must be completed and returned by Jan 27th*** • Equipment swap also available through Dave Frederickson

  8. B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Uniforms • Will be ordered on-line by each player (details to follow) from ASC. Sizing is the responsibility of the player/guardian so please select the right size (error on the side of larger not smaller) • Jersey numbers are first come, first serve by grade level • Uniforms are the property of the player and they should be maintained and clean for every game • The plan (subject to change based on availability) is to use the same uniform next year. Older players will have the right of jersey number.

  10. B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Registration: • $130 cash or check for Spring enrollment • Fee includes • Uniform to keep (reversible pinnie & shorts) • Fees for field usage, subsidized tournaments, referees, misc equipment (i.e. goals, nets, etc), insurance, etc……..

B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • End of Season Tournament Jun 9 & 10 • Need committee members • Grounds Coordinator (2) • Vendor/Guest Coordinator • Team & Referee Coordinator • Scheduling Coordinator • By registering your child for BOLT spring season, you are acknowledging that you will volunteer in some capacity for the end-of-season tournament.

  15. B.O.L.T. 2012 Club Update • Competition Level Where BOLT has an A and B team, the teams will be selected based on the evaluation of the coaches at the try-outs. While these decisions are final and must be respected, mid-season changes can be made and are at the discretion of the coaches. ‘A’ teams place more of an emphasis on competition and success regarding wins and losses. This is NOT to imply that BOLT will win at any cost. It is stated to make clear that playing time at our highest competitive levels is more based on skill, practice attendance, understanding of the game, etc... This is consistent with the optimist club.
