What do you know about main idea? • Typically, when teachers ask you to find the main idea, they are asking you what would be a short, one sentence summary that captures what is most important about a reading/topic/etc. • Likewise, the main idea typically does NOT focus on the little, really specific details. • Add a new entry in your Pages Daily Work file. Title the entry with today’s date, Wednesday 12/19.
