NMS LAB • 6 Cisco Racks • 2 switches, router and a firewall • In NMS labs we only use Router and a switch • 2 Computers (Server and Client) • Server is the even number • Computers have a changeable hard disk • Disk set named IP is the correct for NMS • PLEASE REMEMBER TO SHUTDOWN COMPUTER BEFORE CHANGING HD. • Password for IP disks is empty (for Administrator) • IP-Address from DHCP • Password for NMS set is “salasana”

  4. LAB 1 • Find features of SNMP network monitoring software • Create a recommendation for SNMP monitoring software for EVTEK's network. • Examples of software are in Puska's NMS material. USE GOOGLE TO FIND Good software. • Free (OpenNms,Nmis,MRTG,Cacti) more with GOOGLE

  5. WHAT DO WE CURRENTLY USE ? • Nmis for traffic monitoring, and we are currently testing ManageEngine OpManager, MRTG in support.evtek.fi -pages
