Phase 2.3 • Core/Foundation • Anticipated issues • Volume of courses • Critical to the beginning, intermediate, advanced progression • These are not separate from the individual Emphases (whether we have them or not) • Pushed back to the Sophomore level • i.e., most of the Junior/Senior level is dedicated to more specialized work in Emphases • “Articulate-able” • Transfer students can hit the ground running • Reduces pressure on the history courses
