  13. Stop and Search • That they are being detained for the purpose of a search • The officers name, number and station • The legal search power being exercised • The purpose of the search • The grounds for suspicion • A record will be made and the entitlement

Details for the record • Officer should fill in the form and hand to the person • Persons name/address/date of birth (or if withheld) • The persons self defined ethnic background • If a vehicle is searched – the number • Date/time/place that the person was first detained • Date/time/place where search took place – if different • Purpose of search • Grounds for making it • The outcome • Any injury or damage • Identity of officer making the search
