Anne Frank was a young girl who lived in her home, but when the war started she lived in the attic with her family. She found it very difficult without friends. She was lucky she had her diary with her at the time to record everything that was going on during the war. ANNE FRANK
Evacuees were children who were sent from big cities to smaller villages. They had to do this because, the enemy would aim for the big cities and towns, they didn’t want children to get hurt or die. EVACUEES
Children during World War II would make their own toys e.g. dolls from wooden pegs, spitfires using a pocket knife to calve the wood and paint to paint them. CHILDREN’S TOYS
During World War II children had to carry a gas mask with them, in case the enemy dropped poison or a bomb. GAS MASKS
Adolf Hitler was born on 20th April, 1889, in the small Austrian town of Braunau near the German border. Both Hitler's parents had come from poor peasant families. His father Alois Hitler, the son of a housemaid, was an intelligent man and later became a senior customs official HITLER AND THE NAZI’S

RATIONING • During the war people were only allowed to buy certain amounts of food from the shops. They would do this because they didn’t have enough food for everyone.
