Ghid de călătorie Pasagerul are de obicei posibilitatea să transporte un bagaj principal, aşa numitul “bagaj de cală” sau „înregistrat” (bagajul este prezentat la control şi este transferat către cala aeronavei), precum şi un bagaj de mânăce poate fi adus la bordul aeronavei.Greutatea maximă admisă a bagajului înregistrat depinde de compania aeriana care efectuează zborul, şi de obicei nu trebuie să depăşească 20 kg. În bagajul înregistrat şi în cel de mână nu se pot transporta arme, substanţe chimico-toxice, materiale explosive şi ignifuge sau alte obiecte periculoase.
