The Traveler Online Database Project provides over 1200 sites with access to thousands of licensed research resources. It offers safe, ad-free, and spam-free resources for students of all ages, with remote access capabilities. Available databases include EBSCOhost, Britannica, and Gale.

Traveler Online Database Project • Began in 1997 • Multi-type library project • Provides online research databases to all libraries • Paid for by LSTA funds (84%) and ADE (16%) • Approx. $635/library • Individual libraries would have to pay over $100,000 each to duplicate • Over 1200 sites
Better than Google • Thousands of licensed resources from known sources • Boy’s Life / Business Week / Christian Science Monitor / Cobblestone / Encyclopædia Britannica /Men’s Health / New Book of Knowledge / New York Times / Prevention / Ride BMX / Outdoor Lifefor Kids / Time / US News & World Report • No ads—No spam or spyware—No “phishing” for personal data. • Safe resources for students of all ages with easy access for younger students • Users can save, print and e-mail search results with current citation formats • Lexiles Reading Levels help identify materials for specific ages and/or reading levels • Remote access license allow use from home
