  4. Themes of the book • Bravery and Perseverance • Bravery because when Mary gets taken away by the Indians she is very brave and she is not scared. • Perseverance because she has to perservere when they can not find food and they have to keep moving and keep going.

  5. Summary • The book Indian Captive is about Mary Jemison and she gets taken away from her family by Indians. Mary is a girl that misses her family and hopes that she can get back to her family. Will she get back to her family. . . Read Indian Captive to find out.
