Custom Apprenticeships Placements with employers who are not registered/listed with our program • still required to follow Apprenticeships Policy • prior to contacting prospective employers, you must clear all custom searches with Apprenticeships Supervisor • application deadlines do not apply to custom placements • everything required to successfully complete a custom placement is outlined on the website
Deadlines Round One Thursday September 26 at 4 p.m. Round Two Thursday November 7 at 4 p.m. Items to be submitted for application to be complete: • online application • resume consent form (hard copy) • package (if required)
When will I Know..... • you will receive notice via you’re My Carleton One e-mail account • once you receive notice re-read “Must Do Checklist” • be prepared for potential interviews and/or your placement • know the organization • kind of stories they do • have stories ideas ready
Learn how to effectively apply for jobs, internships and apprenticeships Monday September 16 at 5:30 p.m. Industry Professionals will share their knowledge and experience on effective job/internship search skills. • DOs and DON’Ts of cover letter and resume writing • how to best prepare for interviews • opportunity to ask questionsIt may just provide the edge you require to obtain that placement/job you desire.
