  8. Customers: Key Trends The over packaging of products remains a key concern of Customers. [Produce Research March 2007] The majority of Customers regularly recycle and look for recyclable packaging. [Produce Research March 2007]. Currently over 23% of the UK’s household waste is now recycled, growing by 50% each year [Defra 2006] “Pay As You Throw” (Chip and Bin), refuse collections are widely predicted in the UK in the next two years, forcing Customers to pay for the waste they don’t / can’t recycle. ‘Multiple Environmental Retailer of the Year, 2007’ – Retail Industry Awards
