MVD Reengineering • Description • Purchase COTS MVD Reengineering solution • Replace legacy MVD Driver and Vehicle and Distribution systems with new technology, improving efficiency, accuracy, and maintainability • Justification • Implement modern solution for system that is 30+ years old, resides on mainframe platform, and is increasingly hard to maintain

Implementation Phase Results • Contracts in place • Contract for IT Project Manager (Loretta Silva) executed and actively involved • Contract for IV&V (PDS, Inc.) executed and actively involved • Contract for HP COmprehensive Motor-vehicle Enabling Technology (COMET) implementation executed and actively involved; amendment underway for 7/1/10 GRT increase, minor hardware/software changes, schedule revisions and add HP Point of Sale functionality • Contract for Business Project Manager (Mary Kurkjian) ended 8/29/10. Raul Alvarez, MVD Special Projects Director, Loretta Silva, and Sailam Vasudevan (Bus Analyst) assumed duties. • Project Team in place • MVD – 4 SMEs, 12 JAD participants (others as needed) • ITD – IT PM, 5 IT Developers, 1 IT Developer Supervisor, 3 Infrastructure,1 IT Business Analyst (others as needed) • HP – Vendor PM (Debbie Proffitt), 2 additional PMs, 4 Team Leads, 10 Business Analysts, 2 Trainers, 66 Technical resources (others as needed) • Executive Steering Committees in place and meeting regularly • “Milagro” selected as the name for the new MVD system
