Our Research into The Keep Well Consultation (Glasgow) By Kate Randell (MSc in Health Psychology) Research Assistant Susan Kennedy ((MSC in Health Care, RGN, DN) BHF Cardiovascular Care Lecturer
Why? • Describe • What happens from both patient and professional views • Explore • How easy or difficult it is to do a Keep Well appointment Taken from: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/
How? • Observe • Capture the interactions by filming • Ask • Questionnaire to patient and interviews with both patients and staff
Filming very easy to do, people familiar with it, and gives so much more information
How can you be involved? • Encouraging your practice team to agree to the research • Invite Susan or I to come out to the practice to discuss the project
What would be involved? • Agreeing to have 3-4 appointments filmed • Working with us to send patient letters for their permission and access for filming • Taking part in a short interview to tell the researchers how you felt the consultation went
