Country Pilots - Overview Burkina Faso, Colombia, DRC, Malawi, Rwanda • Technical proof of concept: • a common data format for donor’s data • automating data exchange between donor and country systems using the IATI standards • Learn lessons: • partner country requirements • compatibility of donor data, country data and IATI • the impact of IATI on existing partner country and donor processes and systems www.aidtransparency.net
Country Pilots - Results • Data exchange is possible; small changes to systems and processes are required • Phase 1 meets most needs of AIMS (not all) • Most phase 1 data is available in donor systems; not so for phases 2 & 3 • IATI can bring Increased accuracy, timeliness, consistency of data and reduce transaction costs • A range of stakeholders; budget alignment is a priority *Little IATI awareness amongst donors www.aidtransparency.net
