The Last Supper Leonardo da Vinci • It was painted on the back wall of the dining hall at the Dominican convent of Sta. Maria delle Grazie in Italy • He wanted to experiment with a new style called Tempera(egg yolk and vinegar plus oil paint on dry plaster) • He could use more colors and redo portions using Tempera • Painted it from 1495-1498
