The School Day – Week One Wednesday 21st August 9.30am All gather in the Gym Hall 10.30am – 10.45am Morning Interval 12 noon Children collected from classroom Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August 9.00am Children line up in playground 10.30am – 10.45am Morning Interval 12.15pm Children collected from playground

  4. The School Day – Week Two onwards 9.00am School starts 10.30am – 10.45am Morning Interval 12.15pm – 1.00pm Lunch 3.00pm School Ends

  5. P1 Class Structure Maximum class size for P1 is 25. P1 – 25 pupils P1/2 – 5 pupils at P1 and 20 pupils at P2 Circumstances to consider when forming classes: • Physical, emotional or psychological development • Previous learning record • Sibling rivalry • Peer group relationships • Balance between boys and girls • Previous discussions with parents

  7. There is the option to purchase jackets and badges for blazers.

  8. GIRLS  Tartan Kilt or Black skirt or trousers  White shirt with tartan tie (or)  White or red polo shirt  Black jumper / cardigan (with red stripe) or sweatshirt

  9. BOYS  Black trousers White shirt with tartan tie (or) White or red polo shirt Black jumper (with red stripe) or sweatshirt

  10. What about Gym? Children will have 2 sessions of gym per week. Every Friday with Mrs Halcrow, PE Specialist. Once a week with the class teacher. Gym kit: Polo shirt Black shorts Indoor shoes

  11. Playtime Arrangements Playtime will be from 10.30am until 10.45am. ‘Buddies’ from P6/7 will assist in the playground. We encourage healthy snacks for playtime. What if it rains?

  12. Lunch Time Arrangements Lunch time is from 12.15pm until 1.00pm. Children pre-order school meals in the morning. School meals cost £1.80 per day.

  16. How to help your child prepare for school Can your child put their own coat on and zip it up? Can your child put on their own shoes? Can you child pack their own bag? LABEL EVERYTHING
