It can be called similar to smoking, but less harmful (some even claim it is healthy – although the sanctity of this statement is yet to be verified). Vaping is quite a popular activity these days, especially among youngsters. There is much speculation revolving around it, some on the positive side and some on the negative. All in all, vaping is still popular and spreading. This article discusses how vape mods work – principally what happens inside a vape mod. First off, let us understand the difference between vaping and smoking, which is an important first step towards understanding what vape mods do. In smoking, ingredients are rolled up in a combustible material, which is lit to make the ingredients burn and produce smoke for the inhaler. In mechanical vape mods, there is a vaping liquid, which is heated so that it is converted into vapour, which is consequently inhaled. There are certain vape mods that take dry herbs instead of a vape liquid. In this case, the herb is heated so that the oils it contains get vaporized; there is still no combustion happening anywhere. These oils are carried along with vapour to the inhaler. It creates the same effect as smoking. It is because of the property of absence of combustion that vaping causes minimal damage to lungs as compared to smoking. Vaporizers are of many types. They can be portable, fixed, pocketable, etc. Portable vape mods are come in two types, which basically describe their way of working. One is the conduction vaporizer and one is the convection vaporizer. As the name suggests, a conduction vaporizer works on the principle where your matter (or liquid) to be heated is in direct contact with heated element. In a convection vaporizer, hot air is blown on the matter (or liquid) in order to heat it up. Earlier vape mods used the conduction principle, which was then discontinued because of obvious flaws in design. Since this vape mod required herbs to be in direct contact with the heated element, there was danger of combustion of the herb. This caused smoke to be transmitted to the inhaler, which beat the entire concept of smoke-free vaping. When the conduction area was lesser, the device successfully converted herb oils to vapor. However, as this area increased, combustion risk increased too. This called for an improvement in design that offered better coverage. Thus came around the convection vaporizers. Hot air was blown around the herb contained within the vape mod, which made it possible to heat it up to required temperatures without the risk of combustion. Hot air achieved better coverage and ensured even heating of the entire herb mass. Better utilization, even heating, negligible risk of combustion made this technique very popular and made conduction vape mods obsolete. To know more about ecig juice, visit Dustysinsanevapes.com.
