The late Ted Shackley was an eminent CIA operations officer, a superb professional and valued AFIO colleague and member of the Board of Directors. He passed away in November 2002. This scholarship was funded by Mrs Shackley and Ted's former colleagues. It provides for one $1,000 scholarship to a deserving American graduate or undergraduate student son or daughter of AFIO members or currently serving U.S. federal, state or local personnel in intelligence, counter-intelligence, counter-terrorist or security activities.
