Junior Fashion Designer Salary - £18,000 Potential Route GCSE Textiles A Level Textiles Technology Fashion Design @ University Our client is looking for a talented Fashion Designer to work on their new brand. The majority of design will be on menswear and you must possess a clear understanding within this area. The ideal candidate will be aware of the market and will have a strong eye for design and be able to create dynamic and innovative clothing collections. Responsibilities: To research and contribute fresh, original and inspirational design ideas in all areas of the business; To constantly look out for new street trends; To assist in collaborating seasonal trend mood boards, colour palettes with the aid of research and tear sheets; To take ownership of all outgoing development within the department to ensure that samples meet the buying critical path deadlines; Strong understanding of the design process from concept to end stage; Plan and create ranges and present ranges and developments; Drive the range forward and start up and develop new brand; Competitive shopping, keeping up-to-date on market trends; To contribute and deliver fresh, inspirational designs and ideas in all areas of the business; General Administration duties.You must possess strong garment construction knowledge and be proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator as well as be able to work within a fast paced environment.
