FALL TOPIARY MATERIALS 6” Bucket 15” Bamboo Stake 15 – 20 15” Birch Branches Marble Chips/Pebbles to fill bucket up to 2” from the top 5” Oasis Ball Approximately ¼ dry oasis block Moss to cover 7” Diameter of top of bucket Floral Wooden Picks and Metal Pins Flowers: 2 stems Hydrangea Oregon (green) 8 – 10 Assorted Fall color roses 2 stems daisy mums (pompon cushion) different colors 2 stems tinted waxflowers (orange/yellow) 3 stems goldenrod 3 pumpkin picks (2-3 wired on each) 3 crabapple picks (3 – 6 on wired on each) 2 stems coxcombe (yellow) 3 stems nandina berries Boxwood or similar greenery for semi coverage 1. Pour some of the chips/pebbles into bucket up to 2” from the bottom. Position the bamboo stake in the center and pour chips around the stake up to approximately 2” from the top of the bucket or until it feels stable. Cut ½” pieces of dry foam and wedge around the top of the bucket around the bamboo stake. Place birch branches around the bamboo stake . Secure tape around the top of the branches to hold together. Place soaked oasis ball on top of bamboo stake/birch branches, measuring 8” between the ball and the dry oasis in the bucket. Put greenery stems into the ball evenly, leaving some spaces in between. Break hydrangea blooms into smaller stems and put into the ball evenly, as well. Continue to cover ball with flowers and picks as desired. Remove excess dirt from moss, soak and place around the base of the arrangement around branches, using floral pins. 2. 3. 4. 6. 5.
