Class of 2016 Graduation Requirements • 24 credits • 2.0 unweighted grade point average (GPA) • 4 English credits, 4 math credits, 3 science credits, 1 credit World History, 1 credit American History, .5 credit American Government, .5 credit Economics, 1 credit HOPE, 1 credit Fine/Performing or Practical Art, and 8 elective credits • 1 course must be through on-line learning • Pass FCAT 2.0 10th grade Reading exam with a developmental score of 300 • Pass all required End-of-Course (EOC) exams with a level 3 or higher – Algebra 1, Biology, and Geometry • www.facts.org: High School Students, Graduation Requirements, For Students Entering Grade 9 in 2012-2013 School Year

Intensive Reading – If students achieve Level 1 or 2 on 8th grade FCAT reading exam, they will be required to take Intensive Reading all year. • Extra math course – If a student achieves a level 1 or 2 on 8th grade FCAT math exam, they will be required to take Algebra 1A and 1B. Submit your registration form tonight. • In mid-May, 8th grade teachers will submit final academic recommendations. • Students will receive a list of requested courses the last week of May for verification and/or changes. • FCAT scores released in June may cause changes to academics and electives. • Schedules will be mailed 1 week prior to freshman orientation in August. • Final schedule change requests will be due the day before freshman orientation. If a student decides to take a required course on-line instead of at East Ridge High School, the student must be registered for the course by August 1st. • Your 8th grade counselor must approve the course. • After June 8th, the student/parent will need to change their FLVS demographics to show ERHS as the physical school site.
