Where Did It All Start? • In 1981 Thebacha College in Fort Smith was established as part of the Adult Vocational Training Centre. • Thebacha then lead the way for the creation of Arctic College and ultimately lead to the creation the campuses and community learning centers that are now know as Aurora College.

Student Housing in Yellowknife • Residence is available to all non-local students • Range in size from bachelor to 5 bedrooms for families • All you need to do is fill out an application!
Student Housing in Fort Smith and Inuvik • Fort Smith • Breynat Hall (single residence) • Family housing: • Aurora Gardens • Grand de tour • Thebacha Que • All differ in size • There are 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom units • These accommodations are provided to non-local students • Inuvik • Single residence • Family accommodations: • These consist of 3 bedroom unitsand are offered to students who are from out of town
The Campus Canteen! • Didn’t have time for breakfast? Need an afternoon pick-me-up? • Visit the canteen on the main floor! You can get coffee, bagels, drinks, sandwiches, soup and more. • Hours of operation:Mon-Fri: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Our Experience • After only three weeks I have settled into life at Aurora College and enjoy coming to class everyday. The teachers are dedicated to their jobs and do everything they can to ensure your success. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. • Life at Aurora College is great, it’s bustling with students, and the teachers are wonderful. It’s only blocks away from restaurants, coffee shops and anything else you might need. No matter what your circumstance Aurora College is always willing to help.
