  2. General Information They speak Greek. The population Is 10,767,827. The weather in Greece in winter is very cold, and heavy rain fall.

  3. Celebrations and Traditions They celebrate Christmas, and Saint Basils day. Christmas is December 25th and saint basils day is January 1st . On Christmas eve kids sing Kalanday and eat christ bread.On Saint Basils Day the people exchange gifts

  4. Important Characters They call Santa St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas is important because he recuses sinking ships. St. Nicholas looks sweaty , and his clothes are wet with sea water.

  5. Gifts They give each other statues , and necklaces. Their gift giving traditions are to give present like statues , and necklaces to other people.

  6. Decorations Greece displays Basils and Wreathes.

  7. Food During the holidays Greece enjoys sweat Christ bread and cookies. Christ bread looks like a cylinder shaped glazy dounat.Cookies in Greece are chocolaty and have some nuts in it.

  8. Interesting Info There is a tradition called Kallikantzeri where the mischievous goblins appear during the 12 days of Christmas. At Christmas very few presents are given to each other. Instead small gifts are given to Hospitals and Orphanages
