Why Not Just Use School Report Card? • No student data on SRC • No downloadable files on SRC • No accountability (AYP) reports on SRC • Results for cells with fewer than ten students are not reported on SRC Office of Accountability, Planning and Policy Department of Research, Evaluation and Assessment www.rea.spps.org

  4. Getting to the Educator Portal • Go to http://education.state.mn.us • Go to Data/Data Submissions, scroll down, and click on Educator Portal Office of Accountability, Planning and Policy Department of Research, Evaluation and Assessment www.rea.spps.org

Test Results: Selected Analysis Options • The black arrow shows the five default conditions for the data initially displayed in the graph: School Year is 2010, Test Name is MCA-II, Subject is Mathematics, Grade is All Tested, and Score Type is Proficiency. • The red arrow points to the Edit Analysis Options link where you can change the default settings. Test Results > Edit AnalysisOptions (cont.) • Click on “+” sign under “Browse Selection” on left side of page to see authorized district(s) and/or school(s) and make selection • Choose the test variable(s) of interest • Test Name, School Year, Subject, Grade, and Score Type (NOTE: not all combinations are available) • Choose the demographic variable(s) of interest • Economic status, ELL status, Mobility, Race/Ethnicity, Gender, Special Ed, Migrant • e.g., Male, Female, or Group by Gender (both) • Compare to Other Districts (optional) • Highlight one or more Suggested Schools and select “Add” • Select “Show Results” Office of Accountability, Planning and Policy Department of Research, Evaluation and Assessment www.rea.spps.org

Test Results Download (cont.) a) District Student Results (DSR) • Most complete source of student-level data for all tests • Needs to be imported into the Universal File Format (UFF) • If macros are enabled when UFF is opened, import is automatic and trailing zeroes are removed (“36000” becomes “360”). • Useful Excel functions: Sort, Filter, and PivotTable Office of Accountability, Planning and Policy Department of Research, Evaluation and Assessment www.rea.spps.org
