Or think you know? • What do you need to find out? • What is pH range of normal stomach acid? • What are 5 examples of over-the-counter (OTC) medications for acid indigestion? What is the active ingredient in each of them? What is their pH? • What are 4 different remedies for acid indigestion? What might be the pH of theses remedies if it can be found? Ask

  3. Engineering Design Process (EDP) Imagine Without the use of medications; what is the best home remedy for acid indigestion? Analyze the Options: Of all of the home remedies researched, which would be the best and why?

  4. Engineering Design Process (EDP) Of the items you can choose from: what combination of 3 items do you plan to use and why those choices? List all of the Materials you will need (all of them, including equipment like a graduated cylinder, beaker, pipette, …?) Write a procedure for how to create your home remedy and the steps you will take to add the home remedy to the “upset stomach”. Estimate how much you will add at a time and make sure to include when you will take pH measurements. Plan
