  4. School Uniforms • School Uniforms • Dunbar is a uniform school. The uniform consist of black or khaki pants and a maroon, gold or white shirt with our crest logo. • All students are expected to be in uniform daily without exception. • Students needing support with the purchase of uniforms due to a hardship can ask a school administrator for help. • In an effort to increase supervision and safety, students in uniform will be given first entry into the building in the morning.

  5. ID Cards • ID Cards • Students are to have their ID cards at school daily. • They used to gain entry in the morning and entry into the cafeteria during lunch.

  6. Cell Phones • Cell Phones • Cell phones and other electronic devices or music players are to be used only in the cafeteria. • Teachers are to ask students to put cell phones away and/or turn off, or will take cell phone. • If a student refuses to discontinue the use or hand over a cell phone and an administrator or intervention specialist must take the cell phone, a parent will have to come to the school to retrieve the phone.

  7. Tardiness • Tardiness • Although attendance is increasing, our tardiness is becoming an issue. Parents, school starts at 8:15am and students can obtain entry into the building at 7:45am and to their lockers at 8:10am. Students are considered late if they are not in their classes at 8:15am ready to start. In between classes, students have 4 minutes to transition from one class to the next. Please help us ensure that your students are moving swiftly to classes. • Students who come to the school in the morning after 8:45 must provide a written note with a parent/guardian signature and phone contact information.
