Description • Sriviroj farmco.. Ltd, major layer producer in Khon Kaen. • The investment in a new egg packing is a strategic decision aimed at elimination the risk of cross-contamination. • plastic trays designate for farm use have different colors from those used for delivering eggs to markets.
The machine graded based on weight . the eggs are sorted into seven grades, starting from 45 to 70 gram.(labeled No.0,1,2,3,4,5,6) • the eggs are packed on 30-egg trays. • the grading machine call “Nabel exn3000” can capable of sorting 30,000 eggs per hour. • another grading machine call “oracion 6000” with a 60,000 eggs grading per hour capacity.
now the plant will be capable of grading up to 150,000 eggs per hour. • the plant’s cold room can store up to 5 million eggs at 2-6 to maintain optimum eggs freshness. • the total production of around 1.2 million eggs a day, 80% of production is sold to whole sales in the northeastern area, 15% countrywide , 5% exported to HongKong.

b). Lessons learned • Expert in grading eggs • Human resource is the most important • No one experts in all variety of businesses then it should concentrate on core business • Build a wider affiliation to support farmers in producing eggs

Applicability • Find markets for domestic consumption and international export • Working with university to develop new projects such as extract albumin as a food supplement for diabetes patients. • Doing in core business, cutting the business that does not make a profit in bottom line. • Simple management (more efficient)
