  6. ORA – May Orientation Main informations St Etienne: From 27/07 to 21/08 You canstay at the residence hall until 22/08 Important: You have to communicate the exact date of yourarrival to St Etienne (Closed on the 24th - Sunday!) Grenoble: From03/08 to 28/08 Saturday, May 9th

ORA – May Orientation • Beforemydeparture, I have to check mystuff: • Mypassport / identitycard • Letter of acceptancefrom the school • - Birthcertificatetranslated in french • -  A liabilityinsurance (if I have one in Canada), I canbuy one in France (compulsoryinsurance) • - ID pictures • - Drugs prescriptions • Important: You shouldmake copies of your official documents and sendthem to yourmailbox. Venir en Rhône Alpes Whenyou arrive in France : If you arrive in Paris, Roissy - Charles de Gaulle There is a train station at the airport : Take the train to Lyon / Grenoble / St Etienne (becareful : youneed to book your ticket!) If you arrive in Lyon, St Exupéry Train « TER » to St Etienne or Grenoble May Orientation Saturday, May 9st

  9. ORA – May Orientation Your accommodation In St Etienne: The CILEC makeyour registration in the residence hall « LITTRE ». Whenyoureceive the letter of pre-registration from St Etienne, itmeansthatyour registration is ok in the residence hall ! Saturday, May 9st

To make sure thatyourbookingis ok, youcan contact CUEF or directly the residence hall : residence@rhbgrenoble.com Website: www.rhbgrenoble.com Be careful: The letter of acceptancemeansthatyou are accepted in the courses but not automaticallyin the residence hall !   11. ORA – May Orientation Insurances 1/ Health If you do not stay in France more than 3 months, you do not pay the Healthinsurancecompulsory in France for students ! But you have to justifythatyou have a healthinsurancevalid in France duringyourstay. Saturday, May 9th

  12. ORA – May Orientation • 2/ Liability • This insuranceis a compulsoryinsurance in France. • It is an insurancewhichprotectyou if youhurtsomeone or someone’sbelongings. • You canbuyit at: • - An insurancecompany • A bank • It costs 30 euros per year. Saturday, May 9th

  13. ORA – May Orientation St Etienne David Gerthouxis the teacher in charge of the summerlanguage course. To Pay: You have to payby debit or CreditCard! It wouldbeverydifficult to pay in cash (offices are closedduring the summer) Price : 500€ If youwant the description of courses beforeyourarrival, youcan contact Mr Gerthoux but you must indicate the levelyouneed. Price : 570€ If youneed more information about « how to arrive in Grenoble », youcan contact CUEF by email (Train, bus, bike). The letteryoureceivedmeansthat the pre-registration for the courses is ok. Feel free to contact them or the residence hall to make sure thatyour accommodation is ok! Saturday, May 9th

Discover France and Europe by train: • Booking on line : • « Voyages-SNCF », linkhere • If youbuy tickets online, you have to print tickets beforeyourdeparture at the station (yellow ticket machines : « retrait de billets ». • You canalso do itwith the official SNCF mobile app. In this case, you do not have to print the ticket. • 2 kinds of train in France: • The TGV: train à grande vitesse (carte ci-contre) • * Le TER: transport express régional (more information TER, here)
