General information Main characteristics of INCIVICS -Project to support young and emerging artists. -Started in 1994. -Will achieve a new dimension in regional networks. -Includes more than 30 artists in the field of visual arts and their works. -Organised important exhibitions in the municipal museum and in the city. -Awarded the Espais de la crítica d’art 2000, the only prize in this category in the Spanish State. - Incivics artworks are distributed commercially by an art gallery (AB Galeria) Stockholm, june 11-12-2001

  5. REGNET 2001-03 IST Cultural Heritage in Regional Networks 2. Data Management 2.1. Comments on technical planning We intend to implement a data base system to catalogue the collection. We will also design a web site on Incivics as well as including the artists and their works on photography and image (video creation and net art) in a web site of one of Incivics collaborators. The functions we want to support are basically focused on two levels: Internal Level: creation of an online community of emerging artists to promote the interchange of experiences among the Incivics artists and resources, digitisation.... External Level; cataloguing and disseminating the Incivics’ artists and works, digitisation and education. 2.2. The METHOD we will use for subject classification is Keywords and another possible way would be image categorisation. Stockholm, june 11-12-2001

General goals: • Use the REGNET portal for multimedia productions • Easy and thematic access to art services • Use the REGNET portal for disseminating and purchasing contemporary • young artists’ works •  Use the REGNET portal as a tool to acquire art works •  Use the REGNET portal to create an Intranet for Incivics artists Networks. •  Use the REGNET portal as a Network to create cultural products • together with the other partners. General and technical requirements • Requirements according to general and technical issues • User interface requirements, support of standards, security requirements. • 2. Data management • Allow to parameterize, data import and export functions, data exchange issues, sound format, good image definition, 3 dimensional images, application to amplify details of an image, links to other web sites. • 3. Functional requirements • Data imput, searchable catalogue, information retrieval, ordering capabilities, image retrieval... • 4.
