  4. Select XYPlan on the model tree than go to Sketching !

  6. Create named selections Surfaces Volume(FLUID) OUT CYL1 CYL2 SYM INL FLUID

  7. Open ICEM

  8. Create Body

  9. Initialize blocking Create Block Initialize Block(s)

  10. Split block Split Block Left click: positioning Middle click: apply Split Block

  11. Delete block Delete Block Apply or middle click

  12. Association Associate Associate edge to curve Show association I.

  13. Association Show association I. Snap project vertices

  14. Move vertex Move Vertex Move 4 vertexes to 60 deg position Move Vertex

  15. Part mesh setup

  16. Hexa sizes Surface

  17. Pre Mesh params Pre-Mesh Update Sizes

  18. Badelements 1.) Select: Blocking, Pre-Meshquality Cellswithbadquality 1.) Criterion: Angle

  19. Split block Split Block Press “v” (all visible parts) then middle click to apply Ogrid Block Select Block(s)

  20. Select these 6 parts! Ogrid block Select Face(s)

  21. Check edges

  22. Check Pre-Mesh

  23. Refinement of themesh 1.) Select: Blocking, Edit Block Selectone of theradialedges 2.) Select: ModifyOgrid, Methode: RescaleOgrid Ofset: 0.5

  24. Refinement of themesh 1.) Select: Blocking, Premeshparams 2.) Select: edgeparams 3.) Selectone of theradialedges 4.) Setnodenumberto 8 5.)Set spacing1: 0.2, ratio1: 1.2 6.)Methode: Bigeometric 7.)Enable: copyparmaters, toall parallel

  25. Save project !

  26. Create a FLUENT file 1.) Right clickonPre-mesh, selectConverttounstructmesh 2.) Save 3.) Clickon Output meshto ANSYS FLUENT

  27. Set up the solver, check the boundary conditions!
