2. The guns • They used guns that include the Starr Army Rifle , Spencer Caliber , Colt Revolving Rifle and many more. • These are just a few of the most widely used guns in the civil war. • Many of the guns used different bullets.

3. Guns continued • The Starr Army Revolver was a self-cocking gun. The Union bought about 25,000 of these guns. They were expensive for their time. They each had a cost of $12.

4. More facts • The civil war would have lasted longer if there was no guns. It would have just been hand to hand combat. • At the time guns were becoming more precise and accurate. That meant it was a lot easier to fight on the battlefield

5. Ammunition • As you know guns use ammunition. A popular type is the Minie Ball. The reason is before the Minie Ball the bullet was the same size as the barrel of the gun which meant , people had to take a long time to load the barrel.

6. Forms of artillery This is an example of a 12-pounder Howitzer Cannon. This is a 14-pounder JamesRifle.
