And also, there are many companies at small, medium, and large scale which provide the services of digital versatile disk i.e. DVD, and compact disk i.e. CD development and printing. There are possibly four ways through which digital versatile disk or DVDs can be printed. The text or the picture which is printed on the upper part of the disk is also known as a label. There are options in the paper or ink used to print these labels also. Let’s start with the different ways through which these disks are printed: the first method by which the digital versatile disk or DVD printing is done is called silk screen printing. This type of DVD printing can only be done at a professional place only, where all the machines and tools are available. Under this method, the disks can be printed with Spot colors, Full- color CMYK Process, or Offset. The next method by which DVD printing can be done is thermal printing. The digital versatile disks which are printed using thermal printing method are more durable than other forms of printing, and need no dry time; this method is apt for silver or white disks. Inkjet printing is another type of DVD printing; this method ensures great color and high definition view without much investment. This method requires inkjet compatible blank disks, and as compared to thermal printing, the disks printed by inkjet method need more time to dry. The most economical, and feasible method of DVD printing is paper labels. These can be even printed at home, and securely affixed on to the DVD.
