ISOPA Position “Limit Value” Agreed approach to issue of limit values We aim to keep this “scientific discussion” out of the public debate as (a) it will cause much confusion (b) we might upset the experts with whom we now have a good relationship and who we’ll need in the future, as their opinion matters for the outside world(c) if the industry is alone in this position it might not be believed (industry is not the most trust-worthy consignor in the discussion). It is however important that the industry can voice its position on the issue but it should take place in the right arena at the right time: on an expert level. As a consequence we’ve decided that: We’re not going to bring it proactively in the public domain. Specific questions on the matter, will be responded according to the QA/ISOPA position paper Erik will draft a presentation on the limit values & will draft a position paper that requires review internally before it will be circulated to the experts, including the government officials from the ministry of internal affairs (BZK- Wonen&Rijksdienst) and Infrastructure & Environment (I&M). As such this information will reach the minister and it will serve as a discussion starter within the expert platform.
